Happy update Monday, team! I’ll be attending a summer learning conference this week, so it will be another slow week for posts. We’ll have some more informational posts coming down the pike. I’m so happy, this is the last conference of the year! I’m not sure my ankles can take another one before the baby gets here! Six to seven more weeks and we’ll be there!
Though I haven’t touched my spinning wheel (or seen my toes) in almost a month, I haven’t been idle on the fiber arts front. I’ll be writing for Ply Magazine this upcoming year. The Spring 2019 issue will feature an article on our favorite Corriedale sheep, Holiday! No spoilers, you’ll have to pick up your issue to find out more. We’ll also be part of the Cloth issue in Autumn 2019. Keep your eyes peeled!
I’m also pleased to announce, 2019 brings us some new teaching opportunities. Luthvarian will be teaching an intermediate class on crepes, cables, and coils at the Nerd Girl Yarns Retreat. The retreat will be held April 25-28. If you’re not familiar with Nerd Girl Yarns, she creates some amazing colorways themed off all your favorite fandoms and nerdoms. She works with both fiber and yarns and has a huge selection of bases, including Icelandic wool.
Baby is keeping me busy, but you just can’t keep me out of the fiber arts world!
